Senior Volunteers
For a vast majority of seniors who volunteer, their community service helps define who they are. According to research conducted for the Home Instead Senior Care® network, nearly 100 percent of North American senior volunteers say that, when compared to other things they do in their lives, volunteering is important. One in five senior volunteers says it is the most important thing they do.

February CAREGiver of the month
Sandra has been with us since November of 2010. Her caring and compassion make her an excellent caregiver. She has a great deal of patience and truly enjoys being with her clients. Sandra always seems to know just what her clients' need.
Why did you decide
to become a CAREGiver?
I became a caregiver so I could make friendly
difference in a senior’s life
What is your most
memorable or happiest moment(s) with your clients?
The most memorable and happiest moment was with my current
client. The first image with my current client the very first evening and she
did want any part of me told me to get of her house and get lost I did not
belong in her house and wanted no part of me. Now we are the best of friends
able to laugh and talk and she loves her evening hug and that in itself is very
rewarding.
What advice do you
have for any new CAREGivers?
Advice for new caregivers is to keep yourself positive and
never give-up, it all works out.
